Planets and their role in astrology

How planets can determine the outcome in horary astrology.

In the world of horary astrology, seven planets play a crucial role: the Sun, the Moon, Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Venus and Mercury. These celestial bodies are often seen as actors on a cosmic stage, each with their own specific role depending on the situation.

Although horary astrology is a complex technique with many layers, the aim of this post is to show you how versatile planets are. Step by step, I will take you into this fascinating world.

The Moon, together with the Sun, one of the two “Lights” (or Luminaries), has countless meanings in astrology. Depending on the question being asked, the Moon can symbolise:

All the planets in astrology have that versatility, by the way. That is what makes astrology one of the most captivating fields to study.

Let’s illustrate this with a concrete question I asked earlier this year: “Will Donald Trump be re-elected as president of the United States?“

In horary astrology we use a technique called “turning” the chart when it concerns another place or another country. In this specific case, the Moon represented the People – the voice of the voter.

How does it work? When the Moon first forms an “aspect” (an astrological connection) with one of the planets representing the presidential candidates, that indicates the outcome:

Look at the chart in the image. Here you can see:

The Moon first forms an aspect with Jupiter. This means that the voice of the People, symbolised by the Moon, goes to Trump. Mercury (Harris) is at 28°47’, but the Moon cannot “reach” her in astrological terms.

A few days ago it was confirmed that Trump has been re-elected as president of the United States. This real-life example illustrates how powerful and accurate horary astrology can be when we understand and correctly interpret the role of the planets.

Curious about the techniques behind these predictions? In future blog posts I will delve deeper into how to “turn” charts and how aspects work exactly. Keep an eye on my blog for more insights and examples!
